The Fayette County Colon Cancer Network has pledged $35,000 to Uniontown Hospital from the proceeds from Saturday's planned Celebrity Chef Cook-off.
The Celebrity Chef Cook-off has been a big fundraiser for colon cancer research. The event was started by chef and restaurant owner Joe Carei, a colon cancer survivor.
"We found 20 chefs this year and a couple of new chefs," Carei said. In the past, the event has drew crowds of more than 500. "And we have great food."
